Quit bashing the McRIB

All those nay-sayers, gleefully hacking apart the McRIB, what say you?
We've read all the negative blogs.  The non-pork pork sandwich is so much more than the chemical dumpster of non-pronounceable ingredients.
It is awesome goodness...........trust me.

My new favorite dispatcher

When you get a Halloween plate, it speaks loud & clear. Diabetes is in your future. I'll take my chances. Spooky cheers to my new favorite dispatcher!

Vacation Day 6

Today, breakfast at Running Bear, West Yellowstone, Montana. Recommended and it's true best place in West Yellowstone, open for another few weeks then closed until Winter season starts. Too bad, this place is really good!

Papa Bear, patty sausage, egg, biscuit & gravy

Spanish Omelete, oh that hot sauce is HOT!

Vacation Day 5

Breakfast: Town Cafe, Gardiner, Montana. Ok this place was recommended, by the guy at the front desk at the motel. He must have been on the Cafe payroll. This place has been here a long time. A couple 3 old timers, parked at the counter and the dark, dingy cafe was in the back of the touristy souvenir shop up front. This places carpet has been walked on for at least the last 40 years and it showed. Dirty, yikes,  stare straight ahead at the food, dont look closely at any of the cafe details.

The food was so-so, ok, and the bacon was actually thick and smokey kinda like RJ's.  Wont bother returning.

Dinner Wild West Pizza, West Yellowstone, Montana.  The claim around town is that this pizza place is the best, OK I agree, it is very good, nice tasty sausage, and good crust, but hey, I'm from Chicago and it takes alot to impress me about pizza. But the place was packed, so it must be good.

Bar & pizzaria
medium shroom & sausage

Vacation Day 4

Breakfast & lunch,  e.leaven, Restaurant & Backery, Jackson, Wyoming. The best breakfast of the trip. Googled this one and shazaam, score!

Greek omelet for me...oooy!!!  Home made everything bagels

Huevos Rancheros, absolutely fantastic for her

Dinner:   Cowboy Lodge, Gardiner, Montana, got into Gardiner late after dark, found about 4-5 spots to eat, picked this place. Nice , clean, pretty new log building, food was good, not memorable.

St Louis ribs

BBQ smoked 1/2 chicken

Vacation Day 3

Breakfast in Jackson, Wyoming,  The Bunnery & bakery

Another one of these spots I've eaten 100 times. It was the hip breakfast place in 1983, but today, it has expanded into a shop about 3 times its original size. I ordered the Glory Bowl, a swiss, egg and mushroom on top of a bed of homefries. Fantastic then, so-so now. Deb had a vege skillet, also so-so.

Dinner: Ocean City Asian Cuisine,  Jackson Wyoming, this place claimed to be voted one of the top 100 chinese joints in the USA.  Maybe........but ok.

Pepper Beef

Garlic Chicken, really good!

Vacation Day 2

Today we are traveling from Idaho Falls, ID to Jackson Hole, Wyoming.
Free breakfast at the Motel in Idaho Falls, we tried the buffet, but SUCK CITY. So off we went to the googled breakfast spot of interest.
Breakfast: Smittys Pancake & Steak House. This place hasnt changed inside since 1967, but in fact it was good. So good were the pancakes, I didnt get a picture before Debbie made quick work of them. My swiss & mushroom omelette, is displayed below. A strong B rating.

Lunch at Bubba's BBQ, Jackson, Wyoming

BBQ brisket for me battered french frys

Beef brisket & pulled pork on garlic toast for her
This place was rated one of Jacksons best spots, but to us tasted like many other  BBQ joints.

Dinner:  Merry Piglets, Jackson Wyo. I have to admit, I'd eaten at this place a hundred times when I lived here back in the early 1980's. Back then it was strictly an outdoor spot with picnic tables open only in the summer. This was the hot spot for lunch with long lines, cheap food and a killer shredded taco salad. The pair of gals that owned this would pack up and head for warmer weather in the winter.  Today, its a hard core tourist restaurant, filled with people just off the square in Jackson. The food is unfortunately, not exactly as I remembered or hoped for.
